Job description

Each year, our Customer helps more than seven million students prepare for a successful transition to college through programs and services in college readiness and college success—including the SAT, the Advanced Placement Program, and BigFuture. The organization also serves the education community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators, and schools.


We are seeking an Events Data Associate on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote within EST hours.


The Events Data Associate supports analytical, reporting, and data management needs for the Events team. This role requires strong experience using Salesforce and Cvent, advanced Excel skills, and data accuracy expertise. The associate will manage attendee records, prepare reporting, support event setup, and ensure the accuracy of event data across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accountable, and able to communicate clearly in writing.



Responsibilities:


Analytics & Reporting:

  • Regularly generates event attendee reports in CVENT; cleans event registration data to ensure accuracy. Researches and makes necessary updates to attendee records.
  • Answers ad hoc questions about event attendee trends, such as professional segmentation and geography.
  • Creates (pre and post) event overviews that relay key attendee data, including member status, location, and professional area.
  • Sends a weekly event report that tracks total registration as the event approaches.
  • Generates Salesforce reports that contain key data points used for both analytical projects and marketing campaigns.

Data Updates & Entry:

  • Enters and updates event session data across platforms –Cvent (website, speaker management) and Guidebook (mobile application).
  • Assists in the setup of the event registration process on the CVENT platform, including special paths for VIP groups.
  • Assists education professionals in activating their engagement community account (web-based access to third-party platform).
  • Regularly reviews and enters Committee information via the Salesforce database.
  • Conducts data entry projects as assigned to make quality assurance updates to individual and organizational records.

Additional:

  • Provides support for event inboxes and the governance inbox.
  • Supports the expense reimbursement process for Committee members and speakers.


Qualifications

  • Experience using Salesforce (Classic or Lightning) and Cvent (Flex).
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filtering, data cleaning, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage data integrity, identify errors, and maintain consistent naming and formatting standards.
  • Strong written communication skills and proper grammar when responding to inquiries.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred:

  • Experience preparing event analytics, dashboards, and reporting summaries.
  • Experience supporting events, event data workflows, and session setup across event platforms.
