Job description

Our Customer is an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are availabile in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.

We are seeking an Events Manager on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% remote in NYC or San Francisco, CA.

In this role, you will support the Director of Retail Strategies in the planning and execution of high-impact events, meetings, and conferences that enable teams to connect, align, and deliver against brand and business priorities. This role integrates and operationalizes all event-related activities—partnering closely with the broader Global Events team, the broader Store Operations Team, Field Leadership, and cross-functional teams—to ensure seamless execution, strong engagement, and clear communication before, during, and after each event.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Store Operations, Field Leadership, and cross-functional teams to deliver event strategies aligned with store and brand goals
  • Support end-to-end planning and execution of meetings, conferences, and off-sites, including agenda development, stakeholder alignment, logistics, timelines, budgets, run of show, and onsite execution
  • Independently own and manage event-based initiatives, leading cross-functional teams to define success criteria, align milestones, manage risks, and ensure high-quality delivery
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, identifying dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful execution
  • Build compelling presentation materials, facilitator guides, and participant resources using strong storytelling, clear structure, and brand-aligned content
  • Adapt priorities and approaches to meet evolving business needs, timelines, and stakeholder feedback

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale meetings, conferences, or event programs, including cross-functional coordination, stakeholder management, and executive support
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, balance competing priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and compelling messaging for diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and storytelling skills, with attention to detail, quality, and overall participant experience
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence without authority, collaborating effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Experience using presentation and design tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, or similar platforms to create polished, brand-aligned materials

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.
