Job description

Executive Assistant (must have Food, CPG experience)

  • Location: 100% Remote, ideal candidates sit in the LA area
  • 1099 project based, 3 months initially with option to extend
  • Hourly Range: $25-$30/hr dependent on experience.
  • Hours will vary between 15-20 per week depending on the needs of the business.

We are a chocolate company that looks at chocolate differently. We are looking to add a new line of business in the intimate wellness space using the by-product of chocolate. This new LOB will require fundraising while maintaining our current brand in the chocolate space with our brick and mortar.

We are looking for someone that can wear many hats, work with me in telling the story, e-commerce strategy, email marketing, understanding KPIs, create focus groups, gathering data, and other administrative/operations that are important for a start-up.

This role is 100% remote, however candidates near their Culver City retail location will be given preference. The ideal candidate can multitask, work with project timelines, basic knowledge of excel, organization skills, understanding of consumer CPG space, and not be afraid to get their feet wet.

The Virtual Assistant will have the below responsibilities:

  • Help interview hourly employees and a manager for our retail store.
  • Find an email marketer
  • Find a social media marketer or maybe we use one of the hourly people
  • Find a storage unit for our chocolates
  • Help organize the Mocha Bar project of the business and transition this to one of the managers or hourly people that we find that can be the boots on the ground
  • Support the Founder/CEO on larger projects including presentations, pitch desks, fundraising, etc

The ideal candidate for this role is:

  • Organized, efficient & a self-starter
  • Has experience in retail operations & sourcing vendors
  • Experience with Microsoft programs especially Excel,
  • Helpful to know how to build project timelines like a Gant Chart
  • Basic understanding of graphic design programs such as Canva, Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Basic understanding of social media programs such as Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook,
  • Experience working in Retail and running a retail beverage coffee shop with a CPG component necessary
