About the Role
The Executive Associate to the CEO is a dynamic and trusted partner responsible for
ensuring the smooth operation of the CEO’s office while contributing to the organizations's broader strategic and policy goals.
This individual will provide high-level administrative,
communications, and policy support, anticipate needs, and act as a professional
representative of the CEO with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, tech-savvy, policy-curious professional —
someone eager to grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment at the intersection
of education, innovation, and public policy.
Primary Responsibilities
● Manage the CEO’s schedule, communications, travel, and key relationships.
● Prepare materials for meetings, take notes, and ensure timely follow-up.
● Coordinate document management, correspondence, and expense tracking.
● Maintain the CEO’s presence in CRM, Asana, Slack, and shared drives.
● Assist in research, drafting, and reviewing policy-related materials, op-eds, or
correspondence.
● Support meeting prep with legislators, donors, partners, and press.
● Represent the CEO in meetings, calls, or events when appropriate.
● Help manage special projects and track progress toward strategic goals.
● Support major CER and Yass Prize events: logistics, guest coordination, materials,
and follow-up.
● Manage the physical and virtual office environment — greeting visitors, organizing
supplies, and ensuring efficient daily operations.
● Serve as the organizational hub — connecting staff, partners, and the CEO’s
priorities.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree required; 2–5 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
● Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments.
● Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
● Technologically fluent — especially in Google Workspace, Asana, Slack, and CRM
tools.
● Strong writing, editing, and judgment skills; policy or communications experience a
plus.
● Poise, discretion, and confidence to interact with senior leaders and external
stakeholders.
● A genuine passion for education innovation and freedom.
