We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Assistant with Family Law and Billing Experience to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview: As a Family Law Legal Assistant with Billing Experience at, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our legal professionals and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our billing processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and stimulating legal environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date client billing records
  • Prepare and process invoices, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines and client requirements
  • Review and verify billable hours, expenses, and disbursements
  • Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and provide detailed explanations as needed
  • Assist with the collection of outstanding accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to gather information for billing purposes
  • Generate and analyze billing reports to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive client information
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the legal team as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Billing Specialist
  • Proficiency in legal billing software and MS Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of legal billing guidelines and procedures is a plus
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
