Fast Lane Merchant Setup & Operations Contractor (Part-time -Onsite - NYC Metro)

Our customer is seeking a Fast Lane Merchant Setup & Operations Contractor on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is Onsite at NYC Metro.

Overview:

• We are looking for a part-time contractor to support operational setup, launch readiness, and test orders for Client’s Fast Lane pilot.
• Fast Lane is a new customer experience designed to help customers get their favorite lunch items from popular restaurants faster during peak lunch hours.
• It creates a dedicated storefront for participating merchants with a smaller set of top-performing SKUs, paired with logistics, merchandising, and merchant prep levers to improve lunch delivery speed and reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate store setup and launch readiness Once a merchant agrees to join Fast Lane, you will help coordinate the operational setup process and ensure the store is ready for launch. This may include:
• Submitting store creation requests Coordinating with vendor ops to create the Fast Lane store
• Requesting a separate business ID where needed Requesting tablet and printer shipment
• Uploading the Fast Lane menu and updating menu hours
• Adding photos, cuisine tags, contact information, pickup instructions, and payment details
• Coordinating client setup, ETA overrides, Client settings, store boost, and other launch-readiness requests
• Tracking setup status across internal channels
  Support in-store launch readiness and test orders You may support participating merchants in person as needed by:
• Going in-store to help set up tablet and printer
• Confirming Fast Lane menu, hours, and store settings are correct
• Running test orders Documenting issues from the test order experience
• Flagging operational problems before customer go-live Helping ensure the merchant is ready for launch
• Maintain setup and launch documentation
  
  You will keep the setup tracker up to date, including:
• Merchant name
• Store setup status
• Menu upload status
• Hardware shipment or setup status
• Test order status
• Launch readiness notes
• Open blockers
• Next steps and owner
• Meeting Cadence
• We will meet regularly, with cadence based on launch volume, to review store setup progress, test order status, operational blockers, and launch readiness.

What Success Looks Like

• Success means helping ensure closed merchants are set up accurately, tested successfully, and ready for customer launch.
• This includes coordinating setup tasks quickly, tracking details carefully, identifying operational issues early, and helping each participating merchant move smoothly from closed won to live.
• Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating across merchants, account managers, and internal Client teams.
• You should be comfortable with: Following step-by-step operational playbooks
• Tracking details across spreadsheets and internal tools
• Coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Communicating clearly with merchants and internal partners
• Visiting stores in person if needed for launch readiness or test orders
• Troubleshooting operational issues and escalating blockers quickly
• Restaurant, marketplace, operations, or launch operations experience is a plus, but not required.
• The most important qualities are ownership, attention to detail, and comfort driving a process from merchant close through launch.
