Job description
The Mom Project is excited to partner with Karl Storz Endoskope in their search for a Field Resource & Capacity Manager. This role is 100% remote.

Our range of endoscopic instruments for human medicine, veterinary medicine, and industrial endoscopy now includes more than 15,000 products. The most recent KARL STORZ developments are in digital documentation systems and comprehensive operating room concepts. As a system supplier, the company combines its expertise in endoscopy with software solutions to achieve integration in the operating room and to support clinical processes and resource management.
Job Purpose and Core Tasks
Develop and deploy workforce management strategies nationwide. Partner with managers in identifying demand, then propose and schedule resources to meet the demand. Ensure the right number of skilled resources are in place at the right time to handle forecasted workload. Identify gaps in coverage and propose solutions for the best customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Align availability, forecast, and demand
- Forecasts demand, identifies availability, schedules resources to meet demand
- Create best capacity plan for our business by managing trade-offs between Customer Experience/Service Levels, Employee Experience, Operational Flexibility, and Cost Effectiveness
- Identifies opportunities to improve the balance of workload between sites and works with key stakeholders to develop procedures and business rules to achieve desired results.
- Works closely with leadership to ensure resources are adequate to deliver a successful customer experience
- Initiates the design, development, and implementation of projects that optimize staffing, scheduling, shifts.
- Co-manages a resource database to measure performance of all resources for each technical discipline.
- Reports weekly and monthly on need, forecast, and capacity
- Collaborates cross functionally
- Establishes a regular cadence with leads and managers to communicate performance, forecasts, insights, and recommendations
- Creates a communication Framework by which national managers can effectively request and schedule resources
- Resource Partnership Manager
- Analyze and optimize spend and utilization metrics associated with 3rd party resources
- Formalize working relationships with 3rd party supplemental labor forces, which serve to fill internal resource gaps when needed
- General business development with partners
- Infrastructure Management
- Administrates a workforce planning toolset, both digital and non-digital.
- Oversees the infrastructure to perform the functions of the role.
Minimum Knowledge, Education and Skill Requirements
Required
- A Bachelor’s degree (Finance or Business preferred) OR 10-15 years of relevant work experience
- Requires at least 3-5 years relevant experience with Workforce Management tools
- 3-5 years of project and program management experience
- Proven track record in process improvement
- Comfort in ambiguous or high stress situations
- Track record of working collaboratively in a matrix-ed environment
- Demonstrated outstanding personal leadership
- Demonstrated pattern of intellectual curiosity
- A true team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with executives both within the company, its partners, and its clients
- A sense of urgency and impatience with the status quo
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, proven
- Highest standards of ethical behavior
- Excellent at multitasking
Preferred
- Knowledge and experience in the medical device and/or healthcare marketplace
- Six Sigma Certification
- PMI Certification
- Business Analytics/Risk Management
- Workforce Certification
- Knowledge and experience in technical market segments
