We are seeking a Field Support Technician on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is onsite in New York, NY.


Responsibilities:

  • Utilize ServiceNow as the primary ticketing tool to manage IT support requests efficiently as well as monitor the ticket queue.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for IT processes.
  • Offer telephony (VoIP) support using Vonage system
  • Provide support for laptops, desktops, peripherals
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to troubleshoot and resolve user issues promptly.
  • Take initiative in creating and following processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Travel to other NY sites (Brooklyn, Manhattan) nearby to provide support as needed.
  • Act as the point person for dispatching 3rd party vendors to external sites, guiding them through required tasks over the phone.
  • Manage and support vendors, ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Provide training to other team members as needed
  • Troubleshoot printer issues, network printing, IP printing and Pharos, network and wi-fi

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take detailed notes and manage incident requests effectively
  • Solid understanding of network concepts, including IP, network printers, and configuring
  • Understanding of VoIP telephony support (Such as Vonage or equivalent)
  • Basic understanding of IP Printing configurations, as well as enterprise print solutions
  • Windows Desktop Administration
  • Knowledgeable in IT fundamentals and keen on continuous learning
  • Must have reliable transportation or ability to travel to other locations
  • Microsoft Office Suite, IP Printers, and Phone systems experience
  • ServiceNow is preferred
  • Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) setting is preferred
