Our client, a family-owned retail food organization, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team. The perfect candidate will thrive in a fun and casual environment, pay it forward daily, and add value to the company by being responsible for the financial support of the entire Company product cost structure. This role spans their two lines of business as well as supports our Supply Chain organization on functional costs and analysis.
This role is a hybrid setup with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in Alpharetta, GA.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead and develop annual cost budgets and forecasts for both the Co-Owned and Direct-to-Consumer lines of business
- Work closely with line of business finance managers, supply chain, and field operations to provide monthly/YTD annual analytics on variances and causes
- Work with accounting to understand inventory levels and their impact on the balance sheet
- Finance lead on cost of goods improvement project; where a review of current processes and procedures is taking place across all functions to unpack cogs calculations and methodology to ensure accuracy and better understanding of key drivers
- Analysis & communication of the impact of weekly ham market updates and impact on the lines of business
- Understand packer cost modeling structures and impacts packer fees have on standards
- Prepare ad hoc cost analysis for supply chain on initiatives (new products, inventory depletion, cost savings, etc.)
- Review Analyze monthly bill of materials and propose changes when needed
YOUR TRACK RECORD:
- Bachelor's degree in finance/business administration or field-related studies, MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience that includes experience in both cost accounting as well as financial planning and analysis
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work; possess a sense of urgency
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to build complex models
- Microsoft Access and SQL understanding are preferred, as are Dynamics 365 and TM1/Essbase
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with all levels of management, along with great analytical and problem-solving skills
- Retail/CPG or Food service industry experience preferred
