We are a $600 million private equity firm headquartered in New York City specializing in lower and middle market private equity co-investments and direct investments. We are unique in the industry as a minority-owned firm focused on supporting minority- and/or women-led firms and companies. We have made over 30 investments in sectors ranging from middle market software, niche industrial companies and business services.
Role & Responsibilities
The firm seeks a Finance Manager whose main responsibilities will be i) assisting the investment team with quarterly valuations and investor reporting; ii) working with external fund management company on cash management, accounting and investor support; and iii) maintaining and updating firm marketing materials.
Specifically, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the following:
Portfolio Valuation & Reporting
- Interfacing with portfolio companies to gather performance data
- Completing quarterly portfolio company valuations and return calculations
- Writing and distributing summary reports to investor base
Finance Support
- Completing quarterly management company and fund financial statements
- Supporting external auditors during annual audit process
- Interfacing with external compliance and legal partners
- Management and oversight of portfolio capital calls and distributions
- Tax, insurance and legal support and oversight
Marketing Support
- Maintaining the firm’s investor marketing materials (e.g., pitch books, website, LinkedIn)
- Leading the preparation of annual meeting materials and planning
- Correspondence and updates to current and prospective investors (e.g., quarterly emails, CRM)
- Management of the investor portal (e.g., DDQ, PPM, other fund documents)
Experience and Skills Desired
The ideal candidate would have the following work experience:
- Prior experience in accounting-related, investor relations, operations or back-office support roles

- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in accounting and finance concepts
- Strong interpersonal communication style
- Strong planning and organizational capabilities
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Effective time management skills
- Strong ethical business judgement
- Extensive background check and outstanding references
