Job description

The Mom Project is excited to support our customer, a nationally recognized hospital and healthcare system, with their search for a Financial Analyst to join their team.


This role is responsible for carrying out functions related to financial analysis. Serves as a point of contact for maintenance and continuing development of the treasury software and related systems. Interacts with key Financial Administration and Patient Financial Services stakeholders to ensure banking activity is reconciled to accounts receivable.



Responsibilities:

  • Apply financial analysis principles and practices, including account reconciliation activities
  • Research and analyze financial, banking, and patient billing data to support accurate bank reconciliation and efficient billing operations
  • Prepare financial and status reports while providing cross-team and multi-facility support for internal stakeholders
  • Conduct and document financial analysis projects within the department
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial information to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of databases, mappings, and reference tables within the cash application software system
  • Collaborate with Information Systems teams and software vendors to resolve system issues
  • Manage, update, and maintain system documentation
  • Educate end users on system features, capabilities, and enhancements as they become available
  • Prepare journal entries as necessary when reconciling banking activity


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Information Systems required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in treasury, financial analysis, or a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and sound judgment
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
  • Experience working with financial systems, databases, or cash application software
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with financial systems supporting banking reconciliation and billing operations
  • Experience supporting multi-facility financial environments

Physical and Work Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to prepare reports and analyze data in an office environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and travel to other facilities using personal transportation
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds of materials such as files, laptops, or projectors


Hours and Location:

  • Shift: 1st shift, and some after hours
  • 100% remote
