Job description

Role Details:

Title: Financial Controller

Part-Time, 24hrs per week

Pay Range: 85,000-90,000/yr dependent on experience


The purpose of the part-time controller position is to be responsible and accountable for the financial operations, insurance requirements and administrative aspects of the company. Specifically, it entails working with fellow team members to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements, oversee the close the monthly books, adjust for proper accruals, lead cash management and manage working capital financial relationships. It is important that the person is able to create standard operating procedures and coordinate different functions within the company to facilitate smooth financial operations. Lastly, the person will be able to interpret financial and operation data to create reports for the President and VP of Sales. This is a leadership position within the company. As such, this person is expected to be a problem solver and operate without high level guidance. You will be working with a talented bookkeeper that already handles monthly closings, insurance, payroll, 401k and AR/AP.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Responsibility for integrity of financial statements and monthly reporting packages

2. Handle all reporting requirements and tax matters

3. Create and implement accounting and financial policies

4. Prepare and oversee financial analysis and projections

5. Maintain day-to-day lending relationships

6. Maintain commercial and health insurance relationships

7. Maintain banking relationships on a day-to-day basis

8. Leading the financial team

Requirements

4. At least 4 years in a controller function or accounting firm

5. Accounting degree

6. Extensive experience with accounting software such as Sage, Quickbooks, Dynamics or similar

7. Personable and customer-centric attitude

8. Team player

9. Fluent in English
