Job description

Title: Financial Operations Coordinator
Location: 20% Remote, 80% In Office (Norcross, GA)

  • Monday - Thursday In Office | Friday's optional WFH or Office (Norcross, GA)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience

The Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program is the leading organization of its kind in the state of Georgia, responsible for implementing Georgia’s education tax credit law. Processing and collecting close to $60 million and awarding financial aid to at least 8,500 Georgia students annually.

Reports To

This role for the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program will report to the Director of Operations.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for coordinating and processing the thousands of taxpayer applications submitted to Georgia GOAL each year, the ultimate receipt and processing of contributions from these taxpayers, and the management of the GOAL Donor Database – which includes maintaining and ensuring current and accurate information and data for tens of thousands of donors.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintaining streamlined and efficient operations processes – contributing to the ongoing improvement of operations processes by looking for areas of potential automation or the addition of routines (checks and balances) to achieve error-free results
  • Communicating effectively with Director of Operations to manage workflow and day-to-day operations to ensure exceptional service
  • Collaborating with internal teams and identify opportunities for customer service improvement
  • Assisting in all steps of the tax credit contribution process
  • Processing tax credit applications, submitting tax credit applications to the DOR using an automated solution, receiving DOR tax credit approval, collecting tax credit payments and issuing tax receipts.
  • Providing exceptional customer service – for contributors and for participating private schools through prompt professional, clear, and effective communication (both written and verbal)
  • Responding to the questions and concerns of GOAL’s taxpayer contributors with promptness, courtesy, and clarity
  • Managing large amounts of incoming phone calls and email inquiries while relaying professional and accurate solutions and maintaining records of all client and contributor interactions
  • Troubleshooting with participating school officials, contributors, and Department of Revenue officials when problems, questions or confusion exists
  • Working with the operations team to maintain the overall quality and integrity of the GOAL Donor Database

  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teammates to resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities and large volumes of customer records/interactions, and take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Excel, detail orientation/accuracy, analytical perspective
  • Responsiveness to our customers (contributors) and partner schools in a prompt and professional manner in order to reinforce our positive organizational brand
