We are seeking an experienced contract Florida Trusts & Estates Attorney with strong fiduciary litigation and contested matters experience to draft, edit, and annotate practical guidance and legal forms for an online legal resource. This contract role involves developing and refining Florida-specific estate planning and fiduciary litigation materials. This role is 100% remote.


Interview process includes an interview and a writing assessment.



Responsibilities:

  • Draft and annotate pleadings, settlement agreements, and related documents for fiduciary litigation, guardianship proceedings, and other contested matters.
  • Develop, review, and edit practical guidance articles on Trusts & Estates topics, with a focus on probate, fiduciary litigation, guardianships, and contested estate matters.
  • Create checklists, charts, and how-to guidance materials for attorneys handling contested Trusts & Estates cases.
  • Revise and supplement existing content with Florida-specific insights based on state law, practice experience, and local custom.
  • Ensure all content meets editorial, legal, and stylistic standards within prescribed timelines.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the Florida State Bar.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing in Florida Trusts & Estates law, including substantive experience in:
  • Drafting estate planning documents.
  • Preparing pleadings and related filings for fiduciary litigation.
  • Guardianship proceedings and other contested Trusts & Estates matters.
  • Exceptional legal writing, editing, and online research skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (with Track Changes) and comfort working with online legal research platforms.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines independently.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
