The Mom Project is excited to partner with a premier provider of outdoor lighting solutions focused on architectural and landscape lighting. Our solutions beautify home’s aesthetics and enhance outdoor spaces through innovative design and quality service. We are less than 1 year old company in an affluent area of northern Virginia who has already
profitable and past breakeven. We’re now looking to accelerate growth and this is where you come in. We are looking for a skilled and creative Part-Time Marketing and Social Media Freelancer to join our team and help elevate our online presence with a downstream outcome of increasing leads and sales.
Job Description: This VP role is the catalyst for growth for our company. You will
design our marketing & advertising strategy and the associated metrics. You will then execute your strategy while managing to a marketing budget. This will entail refreshing and restructuring our Squarespace website and building our Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn page content. This position requires 5-6 hours per week split across 2 flexible shifts. Each shift will include a 15-30 minute meeting with our owner in which you’ll share progress against goals and align on next steps. This may be reduced to 1
meeting per week after an initial ramp up period. It is expected that you use this role as a stepping-stone to a bigger role by leveraging your successes here as part of your portfolio of work. Success in this role will result in a letter of recommendation from the owner to further your other professional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company’s overall marketing & advertising strategy for the next 3, 6 and 12 months, inclusive of specific tactics, mediums and metrics while ensuring these align to company brand messaging.
  • Update and maintain company website content and organization structure.
  • Develop and run Google Ads campaigns to drive traffic and generate leads.
  • Create and manage social media marketing strategies across platforms, including the creation of Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn posts page content.
  • Write regular blog & social posts inclusive of create engaging social media content.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills:
  • Squarespace or similar website platform.
  • Proven experience in building and running Google Ads campaigns.
  • Demonstrable experience running social media marketing, with experience managing content across various platforms.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create engaging blog posts and social media content.
  • Content creation: digital and print collateral, mailers, etc
  • Knowledge of social media analytics tools to track performance and engagement.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experience at any level.
  • Experience marketing luxury or discretionary spend product/service.
