We are seeking a Front-End Developer on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
This role will be focusing on setting up A/B tests within the Optimizely platform to drive experimentation programs on merchant websites. In this role, you will work closely with a strategist to bring innovative ideas to life on the web, ensuring engaging, high-performing user experiences. This role requires a strong command of CSS, JavaScript, and HTML, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical details in simple terms when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with a strategist to translate concepts and ideas into functional, testable web experiences.
- Design and implement front-end features for merchant web experiences, focusing on A/B testing and experimentation.
- Set up and configure A/B tests within the Optimizely platform, driving insights and improvements.
- Collaborate with design, product, and analytics teams to support experimentation and optimize user interactions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and efficiency.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and maintain best practices for web standards.
- Effectively communicate technical details and insights from experimentation to non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering
- At least 3-5 years of web development experience
- Proven experience as a Front-End Developer, ideally with exposure to e-commerce or A/B testing platforms
- Strong proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, and HTML
- Hands-on experience with the Optimizely platform and familiarity with A/B testing methodologies
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication skills, especially in translating complex technical information into accessible language
- Experience working in an agency environment is a plus.
