Job Title: Full-Time Bookkeeper (Remote)
Location: Remote (Preferably Central or Eastern Time Zone, USA)
Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with experience)

Their clients span a variety of service industries, including real estate, marketing agencies, and financial services, as well as consumer goods companies. They looking for a motivated and dedicated bookkeeper to join our dynamic team and provide top-tier bookkeeping and financial reporting services to our valued clients.

The client supports many fantastic women-owned businesses, and is invested in providing economic opportunities to moms and women at their firm as well!

The client is open to a flexible schedule arrangement if there is a desire to work less than 40 hours/week as well.

Position Overview
As a Full-Time Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in managing the financial data for multiple clients, utilizing QuickBooks Online and their diverse tech stack. You’ll work directly with clients, ensuring their financials are accurate, timely, and insightful. Your responsibilities will range from entering transactions and reconciling accounts to compiling monthly financial reports. You’ll also handle administrative tasks related to managing the firm and collaborate closely with the Managing Partner (CPA) to keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions (expenses, bills, invoices, receipts) in QuickBooks Online
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
  • Compile and prepare monthly financial reports for clients
  • Communicate directly with clients to ensure high-quality service and satisfaction
  • Support administrative tasks related to firm operations
  • Handle any ad-hoc tasks related to client bookkeeping needs
  • Optional: Assist with tax preparation if you desire to expand beyond bookkeeping

Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a strong understanding of general ledger accounting (debits and credits)
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (mandatory)
  • Knowledge of Excel and other tools like Gusto, Dropbox, and Google Drive
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on client service
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of managing your workload with minimal supervision
  • Ability to ask questions when you’re unsure and an eagerness to learn
  • Professionalism and dedication to client success
  • A strong desire for growth and personal development within the firm

Preferred Traits:

  • A staff or senior staff level accountant looking to build their career but lacking the confidence to start a bookkeeping business on their own
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for potential future leadership and growth opportunities within the firm (including partnership opportunities)
