Our customer is an American multinational cybersecurity company with headquarters in Santa Clara, California. Their core products include advanced firewalls and cloud-based offerings that extend those firewalls to cover other aspects of security. We are looking for an enthusiastic Global Events Specialist who is passionate about executing and working in a team environment across the company's portfolio of events. You will be responsible for working cross-functionally throughout the organization. This position will report directly to the Director, Head of Global Events. This role is remote with occasional travel to attend events on site in Santa Clara, CA.
What You'll Do:
- Support event planning and execution deliverables (may include giveaways, gamification, housing support, expo pass distribution)
- Be on-site at events to provide operational support (registration desk, booth staffing, etc.)
- Provide hospitality service support at executive events (book and manage customer and executive transportation, on-site host services, food and beverage coordination)
- Support speaker management activities including: organizing speaker training, scheduling reviews and rehearsals, managing speaker communications and speaker related forms, as well as providing virtual speaker support for online events and/or on-site speaker support - Work directly with content owners to drive deliverables to deadlines
- Support team budget management (including requesting purchase orders, tracking spend, mapping expenses)
- Effective project management including creation, ownership and adherence to timelines and templates
- A Bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years experience in Marketing/Marketing support (hospitality or event experience preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Detail- and service oriented
- Creative, collaborative, and resourceful
- Proven passion for learning and growth
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Positive and motivated self-starter
- Budget tracking experience preferred
