DESCRIPTION
The Coordinator of Internal Communications is a contract role for 6 months, focusing on planning special projects and providing general support in executing department campaigns. This role will assist with drafting employee messaging, supporting engagement initiatives, and coordinating corporate community projects. They are looking for someone who will bring a proactive, and curious mindset to everything they do. Responsibilities
- Draft and review internal messages on behalf of team leaders and stakeholders
- Manage the execution of the annual Internal Editorial Calendar; tracking milestones, deliverables and timelines, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure objectives are met
- Play an active role in executing department-wide projects, providing project management support as well as the ability to share new ideas and ways of working.
- Track weekly team initiatives, maintain status updates, and support scheduling and coordination across projects
- Support executing employee events, providing guidance to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in developing compeling activities
- Ensures all messaging aligns with the organization’s mission and values.
- Create and maintain internal documentation for processes related to Facilities and HR communications
- Analyze performance data, making recommendations for future projects based on metrics and other feedback drawing meaningful insights from metrics and other assessments
- Coordinate with creative team to deliver graphics required to execute campaigns
- Act as a storyteller who can identify the angle and hook in a story. You’ll be able to structure information clearly, spotlight key points and show why they matter to employees.
- Proactively build trust and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Support the execution of ad hoc projects, requiring excellent time management skills to manage priorities in line with the department goals
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience supporting internal communication channels such as employee newsletters, intranet platforms, email campaigns, digital signage, or collaboration tools
- Outstanding writing skills, and a degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field
- Attention to detail and brand consistency, ensuring all internal materials follow company standards, style guidelines, and messaging priorities.
- Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities, including managing multiple deadlines, tracking deliverables, and supporting communications calendars.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with HR, leadership, and departmentstakeholders to gather information and support employee engagement initiatives.
- High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, takes accountability and accepts responsibility
