Job description

We are seeking a Global Sourcing Specialist on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in NYC.



Responsibilities:

  • Handle complex negotiations for the procurement of IT goods, services, software, and supplies to minimize costs and support business goals.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers to ensure organizational standards for price, quality, delivery timing, and supply reliability are met.
  • Initiate and manage contract administration with suppliers and vendors to ensure alignment with sourcing goals.
  • Review analyses of price proposals, financial reports, and other relevant data to determine reasonable pricing.
  • Implement long-term supply chain strategies and develop supplier networks to address capacity and continuity needs.
  • Work directly with suppliers to ensure capacity and continuity of supply for specific components.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience managing complex vendor agreements.
  • Experience evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret pricing proposals, financial reports, and market data.
  • Understanding of supply chain strategies and capacity planning.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and ensure continuity of supply.
