Job description

Overview: Our client, a prominent leader in the telecommunications sector, is seeking a dedicated Government Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for navigating the landscape of government contracts and ensuring the successful acquisition of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively search and identify potential government procurement opportunities through various sourcing websites like Sam.gov, SBA and 8A.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies to stay informed of upcoming projects and procurement needs.
  3. Develop comprehensive government proposals that align with both the requirements of the agency and the capabilities of the company.
  4. Coordinate with partners to request and compile quotes, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing for proposals.
  5. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations throughout the procurement process.
  6. Manage the submission of all required documents and follow up on proposals to drive progress and secure contracts.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. (preferred)
  2. Proven experience in government procurement or a similar role.
  3. Proven experience using government procurement sourcing websites like Sam.gov, SBA and 8A.
  4. Strong understanding of the government contracting process and associated legal requirements.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with procurement software
