Job description
We provide organizations with research, grant writing, budgeting, and advocacy strategy services for nonprofit and for-profit clients in a variety of sectors including arts and culture, social services, and international peacebuilding.
Job Responsibilities: Researching grant opportunities, creating application templates, writing first drafts of letters and proposals, editing drafts based on feedback, and performing other related duties as assigned. Generally 2-4 hours of coworking via zoom required weekly.
Job Requirements: Ability to multitask and manage several grant projects/clients at once. Abide by all company policies, procedures, and mandates. You will be expected to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Always represent the business and its clients in a positive and professional manner. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively. Previous grant writing, technical writing, or nonprofit industry experience as a plus.
Skills:
Proficient writer able to write in a clear, succinct, and compelling style.
Quick learner and critical thinker.
Ability to handle confidential matters with utmost integrity.
Ability to study and understand programs and funding requirements of an organization.
Strong communication and research skills.
Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe.
How we Work: Our team meets weekly to review upcoming deadlines, celebrate submissions, discuss successes and challenges, assign tasks, and take a few moments to say hi to everyone’s kids and dogs. In the beginning we will schedule several planned co-working sessions each week to help you learn the role and provide you with the supports necessary to be successful.
Onboarding
You’ll be hired as a contract worker receiving a 1099 for taxes.
Will be required to sign an NDA.
Will be required to provide a list of emergency contacts.
