Job description
Our Customer is a leading provider of alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles with operations in North America, Europe, and Taiwan. They offer their customers a broad range of replacement systems, components, equipment, and parts to repair and accessorize automobiles, trucks, and recreational and performance vehicles.
We are seeking a Help Desk Support to consolidate global interim and annual ASC 740 income tax provision calculations and disclosures. This role will be responsible for resolving end-user calls and/or work orders in a timely, professional manner & maintain continuous communication within the department and the end users.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Process Improvement
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, or electronically
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Research questions using all available information resources
- Convey complex technical solutions to novice end users
- Administer various applications
- Assess/redirect problems to the appropriate resource as needed
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Track and route problems/incidents/requests and document resolutions
- Stay current with system information, changes, and updates
- Assist teammates in your specialized capacity
- Communicate important issues with the team
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Assumes other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- At least 2 years of customer service experience.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work well with others.
- Basic knowledge of employment laws regarding compensation is required.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Requires sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Required to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs. routinely.
- Requires a normal range of hearing and vision.
- Must have the ability to work in conditions of frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to deal with stress associated with a fast-paced work environment, including handling multiple tasks on a daily basis.
Hours and Location:
- M-F 40 hours/week
- Hybrid in Nashville, TN
