Job description

They are seeking an HR Business Partner to help support their business needs in this 5 month contract role.

This role is hybrid (onsite every Tuesday + 1 additional day and 3 days remote/week) in Chicago, IL (West Town).


In this role, you will need to possess strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will need to be proficient in HRIS software (preferably Rippling or like systems) and have a solid understanding of relevant HR laws, policies, and procedures. You must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and inquiries related to HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide quality guidance and interpretation on various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Gather and organize documentation related to employee relations matters, such as performance and behavior-related incidents, terminations and resignations, and leaves and accommodations.
  • Provide employee-related data and reports to various departments on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Maintain the internal HR resources, including process documentation on the intranet hubs, ensuring information is easily accessible, accurate, and regularly updated.
  • Lead the logistical coordination of the New Hire Onboarding and Employee Exit programs, such as employee and manager communications, calendar management, and IT liaison.
  • Support with administering the annual performance evaluation process.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive HRBP experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency using HRIS systems and Google Suite
