We are seeking a contract HR Compliance Analyst to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.


The HR Compliance Analyst supports the consistent and compliant application of HR policies and processes across the organization. This role is responsible for identifying, monitoring, and advising HR partners on compliance and policy-related matters, and supporting risk mitigation efforts in alignment with federal, state, and local laws. The HR Compliance Analyst partners closely with business stakeholders to educate, train, and monitor the company.


Part-time, 30 hours/week - Monday through Friday, example hours of 8:30 am to 3 pm EST (6 hours a day)



Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations, including wage and hour laws, time and attendance requirements, and state-mandated leave programs
  • Support Fair Labor Standards Act classification reviews and compliance assessments
  • Assist with administration and compliance tracking for background checks, substance screening programs, and contract labor requirements
  • Maintain documentation and reporting related to EEO, Affirmative Action, and Equal Employment compliance
  • Support union administration requirements, including collective bargaining agreement compliance, reporting, and data accuracy
  • Track regulatory changes impacting employment practices and communicate updates to HR and business stakeholders
  • Conduct periodic internal audits of employment practices, HR processes, and data integrity
  • Coordinate with Legal, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and other partners to resolve compliance issues and support corrective actions
  • Contribute to compliance resources such as checklists, guides, and process documentation
  • Review and validate modified timesheets and follow up with employees as needed
  • Run motor vehicle reports for employees receiving auto allowances
  • Schedule drug screenings, including random testing
  • Support onboarding processes for contingent workforce populations
  • Run and maintain compliance-related reports
  • Handle post-accident intake calls and related documentation
  • Perform general administrative HR support tasks across the organization


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of HR experience with direct exposure to employment regulations, compliance, or HR operations
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws, including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and Title VII
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret regulations and translate requirements into practical HR guidance
  • Experience performing internal audits and validating compliance documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and summaries
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using HRIS and compliance tracking tools (Workday, First Advantage)
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and basic formulas
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry experience within transportation, logistics, or large-scale operations environments
  • Experience supporting organizations similar in scale or complexity to large logistics employers
  • Progress toward HR certification, such as PHR or SHRM-CP
