Job description
This is a temporary / project-based position from September 2025 to January 2026. Position is Salaried/Exempt.
Key Accountabilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and employee support
- Support full employee cycle - recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Assist in benefits administration, including open enrollment in November - planning, communication, and execution
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in UKG.
- Ensure compliance requirements including employment law, workplace safety, and company policies
- Maintain employees leaves for United States locations (IL and MI)
- Support performance management processes, training initiatives, and employee engagement activities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in key HR functional areas and serve as a project owner on assigned HR initiatives
- Process Elgin payroll – support Michigan payroll as needed
- Generate HR-related reports per specified frequency
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role
- Proficient in using UKG (required)
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws
- Working knowledge of HR compliance and best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
