Job description
Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.
We are seeking an HR Project Manager on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote in EST/CST hours.
The HR Project Manager will support the organization’s Corporate Citizenship and Foundation initiatives by managing grants, donations, vendor relationships, financial tracking, and employee giving programs. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in corporate philanthropy or CSR within a large enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage donation and payment processes for the organization’s foundation and Corporate Citizenship team.
- Maintain and reconcile budget trackers and financial reporting tools.
- Create, update, and manage data and impact dashboards to measure program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Controllership and Tax teams to prepare required foundation filings.
- Monitor and reconcile all Corporate Citizenship and Foundation budgets.
- Review and process all matching gift requests monthly and ad hoc.
- Serve as the primary contact for matching gift inquiries from employees and executives.
- Act as liaison with the external matching gifts vendor.
- Oversee the Children of Employees Scholarship Program.
- Lead and manage the annual employee giving campaign.
- Manage relationships with grants management, matching gifts, scholarship, and related vendors.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Supplier Management Team.
- Support volunteer initiatives, grant-making programs, and other corporate citizenship projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, CSR, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Citizenship, Philanthropy, or CSR; experience in a Fortune 250 or financial services environment strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills, including developing annual work plans, managing budgets, and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders.
- Excellent planning, organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word – document creation and formatting
- Proficiency in Excel – advanced functions, data management, pivot tables, charts, and analysis
- Proficiency in PowerPoint – designing presentations with visuals and clear storytelling
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Solid understanding of Corporate Citizenship/CSR/Social Impact strategies and programming.
