We are seeking a HR Reporting & Analytics Analyst on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% onsite at Atlanta, GA.
Role summary
- The HR Reporting & Analytics Analyst will own the team's recurring reporting and operational support requests so the permanent team can focus on year-end talent, performance, succession, promotion and compensation priorities.
- The work is concentrated around month-end, especially the first week of each month. It includes Power BI dashboard refreshes, SharePoint reporting and operational support requests submitted through ServiceNow for HR Business Partners, HR Administrators, Finance and Marketing RFP teams. Operational reliability matters more than HR subject-matter depth.
Key responsibilities
Power BI dashboards
- Run monthly refreshes of existing Power BI dashboards used by HRBPs, HRAs and Finance.
- Validate refreshed data against Workday and Alteryx-produced Excel sources before release.
- Troubleshoot routine refresh failures, data model issues and DAX measures; escalate complex issues.
SharePoint reporting
- Maintain and update SharePoint lists and reports used by Finance and Marketing RFP teams.
- Publish reports on the monthly schedule and confirm accuracy.
- Operational support via ServiceNow (2 to 3 requests per day)
- Review and resolve assigned support requests for report scheduling, basic data requests and report data questions.
- Submit access and entitlement requests through JIRA (no direct security administration rights).
- Communicate status and resolution clearly to requesters.
Process improvement
- Note recurring manual steps and, where possible, recommend opportunities to automate them.
Required qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in reporting, business intelligence or data operations.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, including dataset refreshes, report validation and DAX troubleshooting.
- Experience resolving service requests in ServiceNow and raising requests in JIRA.
- Familiarity with Workday as a reporting data source.
- Strong Excel skills for data validation and reconciliation.
- Consistent, deadline-driven execution during month-end peaks.
- Discretion handling confidential employee and compensation data.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with Alteryx workflows.
- Experience with HR or people data (headcount, compensation, performance).
- Experience maintaining SharePoint lists and reports.
- Track record of spotting and recommending automation for manual reporting work.
What success looks like
- By the end of the assignment:
- Monthly dashboards and reports are refreshed and delivered on time, nearly independently, without the team needing to triage.
- At least 50% of monthly ServiceNow support requests (report scheduling, access requests, basic data requests) are resolved independently.
