We are seeking an HR Specialist on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is a hybrid setup in Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL and Seattle, WA.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as primary contact for I-9 processing including E-Verify
- Ensure compliance with federal requirements and assist with outsourcing project
- Assist with medical reasonable accommodations including reviewing files to ensure proper documentation is uploaded to HR Acuity, updating the master tracker for accommodation requests
- Follow up with employees and managers to check on the status of outstanding requests
- Partner with Employee Relations/Human Resources (ER/HR) Compliance Manager to audit workplace labor posters for U.S. worksites
- Support International HR Compliance with various projects including reviewing legal requirements for disability hiring quotas in various countries
- Provide support on projects and initiatives as needed
- Pull reports from the Workday Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
Must Haves:
- 2+ years HR experience
- Strong understanding of I-9 process and employment law in CA and across the U.S.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Can manage and organize data in a way that makes it reliable and consumable
- Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and work with all levels across an organization
- Great customer service skills with a passion for helping others using discretion
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to juggle competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Able to handle confidential matters and sensitive data
- Able to work independently as well as operate in a team environment
- Can problem-solve and create innovative solutions
- Problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
- Proficiency in Mac and Google applications, such as sheets, slides, and documents
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is a hybrid setup in Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL and Seattle, WA.
