We are seeking an HR Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:

  • Performing a full scope discovery into the current state for I-9 Compliance
  • Auditing and correcting Employee records with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy
  • Pulling data from various HR Tools and performing analysis in MS Excel
  • Delivering project updates through a variety of methods: verbally, in writing, and via PowerPoint.
  • Drafting Communications intended for Manager-level audiences and employees
  • Tracking progress on remediation activities and following up on incomplete tasks
  • Providing service to HR Business Partners, Managers, and the HR Compliance team
  • Correct I-9 records in the Equifax platform
  • Audit data within Equifax and E-Verify portals
  • Generate reports and track progress across multiple data sources
  • Provide regular status updates and requested data to HR leaders and managers
  • Support the migration of I-9s from the old platform
  • Contribute to a company-wide initiative to strengthen compliance


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 3+ years of HR compliance or HR operations experience, with a focus on I-9 audits and data accuracy
  • 3+ years of I-9 Compliance and completion experience
  • 2+ years of proficiency with Equifax and E-Verify portals
  • 5+ years of advanced MS Excel skills
  • 3+ years of prior work experience in Human Resources or equivalent education
  • 3+ years managing employee records, including I-9 paperwork
  • Proficient in MS Excel, including the ability to build pivot tables and perform VLOOKUPs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep commitment to confidentiality, information security, and compliance
  • Mature, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage details and deadlines independently


Preferred:

  • Experience creating documentation and training materials in MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience or education in Change Management and/or Project Management methodologies
