Job description
Our Customer is an American computer and consumer electronics company famous for creating phones and computers. As one of the largest companies globally with a market cap of over 2 trillion dollars, it is a major leader in the space. Although this company was founded in 1976 it has transformed how we connect and communicate worldwide.
We are seeking an HR System Project Manager on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is a hybrid setup at our Customer's Raleigh, NC or Austin, TX office.
What You'll Do:
- Pro-actively communicate and partner with cross-functional business and technical leads from People BPR, Recruiting, People Operations, IS&T, Compliance, Legal, Reporting & Analytics, etc.
- As a neutral party make data-driven project decisions while stitching processes, ideas, etc. across cross-functional teams while accounting for different team cultures and priorities
- Perform data validation to identify data conversion issues like false positive or negatives or misses, build dashboards to summarize issues and health of converted data
- Provide input and/or develop interim and long-term People Technology Strategy and translate that into concrete and actionable goals, milestones, and activities to drive execution
- Co-Create with partner teams to find the right level of configurability and extensibility.
- Lead functional requirements gathering, global design, Test Planning, Scenario gathering and Test script writing sessions with cross-functional teams while considering key personas and efficiencies in test execution
- Act as an independent tester to test functional, reporting, integration and data conversion to support End-to-End Recruiting and other People business processes and workflows
- Write/Update/Review detailed requirements for Integrations between in-house tools and 3rd party vendor.
- Write/Update/Review Business Requirements and/or Functional Specifications to document changes needed to Report, ATP product features and/or integrations with 3rd party systems
- Co-lead and/or support to identify, Plan and execute cutover, launch and support activities
- Lead global design, requirements, process and/or testing sessions while collaborating with Recruiting, Technical, People Operations, Legal, Compliance and People BPR team members
- Perform impact analysis and document processes to highlight changes to different personas and based on product’s “Current” and “Future" state
- Conduct User Research to identify gaps needed to support the Recruiting KPIs and/or decision support system
- Manage tasks and phases for the assigned work streams - must be able to act independently
- Solicit Requirements and document use cases/scenarios that span across business functions and systems (e.g. Offer to Hire including background checks and Offer response by candidate using SilkRoad Portal, Headcount plan to Requisition creation to Posting, Interview request to interview feedback including scheduling and responses from candidates and interviewers, etc.)
- Build content using tools Keynote, Miro, etc.to share your Point Of View (POV) across others
- Pro-actively identify and raise risks, issues, etc. and drive teams to results
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required
- Minimum 4 years of experience working with HR Technologies
- Strong BSA (Business Systems Analysis) experience including leading key project phases – Global Design & Requirements gathering, Testing - (un)structured and Process Re-engineering
- Must have demonstrated experience in managing large (20+) diverse group of cross-functional global and regional stakeholders to lead design and requirements gathering sessions
- Experience leading or supporting conversion efforts, cutover, launch and stabilization activities as part of a large and global implementations is preferred
- Demonstrated success to see big picture, play the Solution architect, and gather requirements to design configurable, extensible, and API enabled platform is preferred
- Recruiting/HR domain knowledge is required. Prior experience implementing global Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or Onboarding Systems for Recruiters and candidates using and multi-tenant SaaS preferred
- Knowledge of HR Technology Leading Practices and ability to apply them to the processes and technology platform preferred
- Must have demonstrated success in leading various test phases including Pre-UAT (User Acceptance Test), UAT, etc. to test End-to-End (E2E) Recruiting business processes, integrations with in-house and 3rd party tools (e.g. HRIS - Workday, Onboarding - SilkRoad, Calendaring, etc.)
- Demonstrated success to drive decisions and results with global cross-functional team members that includes technical and business leads is required
- Must have prior experience in writing functional specifications and/or Business Requirements for product functionality and integrations, and/or making updates to existing docs while testing integrations and application functionality (both user stories and traditional BRD formats)
- Prior experience with large corporation (> 50K people) is desired
- Excellent communication skills to connect with multiple levels of stakeholders - verbal & written
- Demonstrated success in attention to detail, dealing with ambiguity and looking around corners
- Ability to work independently and as part of a large project team with minimal supervision
- Understand industry-standard HR KPIs/metrics and data/processes needed to build them
- Prior experience to setup/lead Data Governance framework and Data Quality audit processes is desired
