We are seeking a Human Resources Compliance Analyst on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% remote.


The HR Compliance Analyst supports the consistent and compliant application of HR policies and processes across the organization. This role is responsible for identifying, monitoring, and advising HR partners on compliance and policy-related matters, and supporting risk mitigation efforts in alignment with federal, state, and local laws. The HR Compliance Analyst partners closely with business stakeholders to educate, train, and monitor company employment policies. Basic data entry person who knows how to navigate Excel, can have professional conversations with Managers, and schedule drug screenings.


This role is fully remote, Monday through Friday, with example hours of 8:30 am to 3 pm (6 hours a day)



Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, time and attendance, and leave programs
  • Support FLSA classification reviews and compliance assessments
  • Assist with the administration and tracking of background checks, substance screening, and contract labor compliance
  • Maintain documentation and reporting for EEO, Affirmative Action, and Equal Employment compliance
  • Identify trends and support corrective actions related to compliance risks
  • Support union-related requirements, including CBA compliance, reporting, and data accuracy
  • Track regulatory changes and communicate impacts to HR and business stakeholders
  • Conduct audits of HR processes, employment practices, and data to ensure compliance
  • Partner with Legal, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and other teams to resolve compliance issues
  • Develop and maintain compliance resources such as checklists, guides, and process documentation
  • Analyze data and generate reports to support compliance monitoring and decision-making


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of HR experience with a focus on compliance and HR operations
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or similar industries (e.g., high-volume or operations-driven environments) preferred
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws, including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and Title VII
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail in reviewing data and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Experience with HRIS systems, compliance tracking tools, and audit processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly
  • Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical HR guidance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with an administrative and operational support mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Progress toward HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP
  • Experience supporting compliance in unionized environments
  • Experience in high-volume, operations-driven organizations such as logistics or transportation companies
