Job description

Job Title: HR Manager

Location: 100% Remote

Reports To: SVP, Finance & Strategy

Position Type: Part-Time

The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, who is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Manager to support the company on a part-time basis. This position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and professional employee experience. The HR Manager will work closely with department heads to create and maintain a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

People & Culture Initiatives

  1. Assist with the scheduling, preparation, and organization of monthly team meetings.
  2. Organize virtual and in-person offsites including coordinating logistics, developing agendas, collecting presentation materials, and any other support activities.
  3. Plan and execute other virtual team-building activities
  4. Distribute team surveys, analyze results, and share with executive management.

Employee Hiring & Recruitment

  1. Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs.
  2. Manage job postings, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews.
  3. Assist with offer letters, employment contracts, and background checks.

Onboarding & Offboarding

  1. Facilitate the onboarding process, including orientation and training for new hires.
  2. Ensure completion of all required documentation and setup of benefits, payroll, and system access.
  3. Manage offboarding procedures, including exit interviews, retrieval of company property, and deactivation of accounts.

General HR Duties

  1. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  2. Support performance management processes, including annual reviews and employee feedback.
  3. Address employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and other concerns.
  4. Manage the company’s org chart and job descriptions.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on hiring, onboarding, and employee relations.
  2. Skills:
    1. Strong organizational and communication skills.
    2. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Work Schedule:

  1. Part-time (approx. 20 hours per week) with flexibility based on business needs.
