Job description

The Mom Project is excited to partner with a team that is currently seeking a people-centered and dedicated Part-Time Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team. This position will work approximately 16 hours a week, flexible 4 days a week.

This HR generalist will support our employees with HR related matters, providing top-notch customer service and employee support to staff in our New York office, Philadelphia office and remotely.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Part-Time Human Resources (HR) Generalist will help support with recruiting and onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, offboarding and HR reporting.

This position will be based in our NYC office with flexibility to work from home periodically.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Support managers with talent acquisition and recruitment process – includes finalizing job postings, posting on ADP ATS and external job boards, initial screenings, interview scheduling, panel interview facilitation and drafting offer letters.

· Onboarding and new hire set-up – includes sending welcome emails and documents, putting together new hire onboarding plans and conducting HR orientation meetings.

· Offboarding – includes conducting exit interviews with junior and mid-level employees, scheduling senior level exit interviews with the CFO; as well as liaising with IT and Finance to ensure successful offboarding.

· Performance management – coordinating 90-day/introductory period and annual performance reviews. May also include updating the forms as required.

· Assisting with preparing employee letters and/or correspondence – may include all staff emails, change of status letters, promotion letters, etc.

· Maintaining and organizing all HR documents – electronic and physical employee files, handbook, policies, etc.

· Active member of the Employee Engagement Committee; as well as providing HR support to other firm culture committees as requested.

· Support the CFO with preparing annual HR reports (e.g. turnover and demographics) using existing templates and PowerPoint – includes gathering relevant data and assisting with analysis.

Qualifications

Required

· Bachelor’s degree

· 3 - 5 years of human resources generalist experience or equivalent combination education/training/certification and experience.

· Some recruiting experience - familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems such as ADP ATS.

· Experience working in a small sized (fewer than 50 employees) organization.

· Experience building and gaining trust in an authentic manner with employees at all levels – some experience working with senior staff and management would be beneficial.

· People-centered customer service orientation – approachable, collaborative, and adaptive.

· Active and empathetic listener – listens not just to respond but to truly understand and work with each employee to find resolve.

· A proactive problem solver – asks questions, takes initiative, quick to respond, excellent follow-through and resolve issues in a timely manner.

· Ability to manage and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

· Able to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.

· Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred

· Experience working in the social sector, non-profit or consulting organization/firm.

· Experience working with ADP TotalSource.
