Job description

Our Client is a technology development company for the Aerospace & Defense industries. They develop, adapt and scale technical capabilities across any domain faster than anyone else, protecting our mission partners and ensuring program success.

HR & Operations Administrator (Part-Time)

They are seeking an experienced part-time HR & Operations Administrator to support the company’s people operations and internal business systems, spanning HR compliance, benefits administration, employee data management, and onboarding and offboarding coordination.

This is a part-time position, typically 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to expand to up to 30 hours during periods of elevated activity or business need. Much of the work is performed remotely, but you need to be in the Denver area. The whole leadership team gets together for breakfast every week. We have companywide events in the summer and for the holidays. We work intelligently and effectively, and the culture is responsive and caring. We are growing quickly because we serve our mission partners well and are financially strong to propel us forward.

If you’re someone who can embrace and elevate the culture they’ve built – a motivated individual with intelligence, creativity, and a drive to foster change in a great company – they will want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do

Operations & HR Administration

  • Partner with IT and systems owners on access, audits, backups and issue resolution
  • Maintain employee data across HRIS, timekeeping, and related business systems
  • Administer benefits operations, including enrollments, renewals, audits and carrier reporting
  • Coordinate onboarding & offboarding across systems, benefits and required documentation
  • Administer HR compliance filings and reporting (ACA, VETS-4212, PCORI, COBRA, labor postings)
  • Maintain operational SOPs and support cross-training for organizational resiliency

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR administration, operations or business administration
  • Comfort working across HRIS, timekeeping, and related business systems
  • Working knowledge of benefits administration and employment compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive employee data
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset
  • Interest in growing into a more senior HR or operations role over time
  • A proactive, organized mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines
  • Federal contracting or compliance exposure is a plus, but not required

Core Competencies

  • Best Effort First Time – You deliver high quality work upfront without significant rework.
  • Team Oriented – You actively contribute to team success, support your peers, share information, and prioritize collective outcomes.
  • Learning Agility – You learn quickly in new situations, apply new information effectively, and adapt behaviors based on what you have learned.
  • Analytical Rigor – You use structured thinking, logic, data, and clear analysis to make decisions.

The Why

Meaningful Mission

  • Support programs ensuring the safety and security of the United States and its allies
  • Work with the best technical minds solving the hardest problems in aerospace and defense
  • Be part of a company where reputation is everything and mission success is non-negotiable

Exceptional Culture

  • Employee-first philosophy – We start with employees as the centerpiece and fit everything else around them
  • Extreme ownership – Empowered to make decisions in good faith aligned with our values
  • One-Team approach – No “us vs. them;” we’re all committed to each other’s success

Growth & Impact

  • Build relationships that directly impact national security and defense innovation
  • Real opportunity to grow into broader responsibilities as the company scales

The expected compensation range for this part-time position is $30.50 and $40.50 per hour. Actual compensation within this range will depend on individual experience, skills, education, performance, and business needs. This position may also be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses or awards based on company and individual performance.
