Job description

Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.


We are seeking an IAM Security Engineer on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote, East Coast preferred.



Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate discovery and engagement with application owners for onboarding
  • Conduct interviews, working sessions, and onboarding documentation
  • Identify onboarding risks and develop mitigation plans, escalating as needed
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts to prepare applications for onboarding
  • Provide status updates and manage escalations throughout the process
  • Analyze log data to identify relevant events and map to data models
  • Develop and configure Splunk add-ons to parse, tag, and structure security data
  • Test and validate Splunk configurations, ensuring alignment with standards and data models
  • Release onboarded applications to production environments
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for application functionality
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve technical issues
  • Maintain detailed testing and configuration documentation


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of overall experience, including at least 1 year in engineering or architecture within IAM or related InfoSec domains
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with IAM technologies
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts such as authentication, authorization, and RBAC
  • Deep knowledge of Splunk Cloud and Splunk Processing Language (SPL)
  • Experience working in cloud environments (PaaS)
  • Experience analyzing log data and working with security event data
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Jira Align
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work based on risk and timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
