Our Customer is seeking an In-Person Sales Development Representative on a contract basis to help support their business needs.
This role is open only to candidates located in or within approximately 50 miles of the following locations:
- Wilson, NC
- Auburn, AL
- Rantoul, IL
- Gettysburg, PA
- Macon, GA
- East Peoria, IL
- Ozark, MO
- Marshfield, MO
- Fort St. Lucie, FL
- Gainesville, TX
- Glenwood Springs, CO
- Silverthorne, CO
Variable Compensation Structure (in addition to base pay):
- Meetings Held (MH): $50 per meeting held
- Closed Wins (CW) from MH: $75 per deal closed
Responsibilities:
- Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects within an assigned territory each week to introduce the platform and secure qualified meetings for the Outside Sales team
- Identify owners or key decision-makers at each location and build trust through brief, in-person conversations
- Deliver a clear value proposition explaining how the platform helps restaurants grow orders, reach new customers, and improve operations
- Record every visit, conversation, and meeting outcome in sales systems such as Salesforce with strong attention to detail
- Partner with Outside Account Executives to align on target accounts, ideal customer profiles, and follow-up strategies
- Plan and manage daily routes to maximize productive visits and meetings booked
- Follow up with merchants via phone, text, and email to confirm meetings and maintain engagement
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets related to meetings scheduled, meetings completed, and resulting revenue impact
- Serve as the local market representative by sharing merchant feedback to improve messaging, products, and sales strategies
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience in outbound sales, canvassing, field marketing, or other customer-facing roles focused on generating new business or sign-ups
- Experience in sales, hospitality, retail, service industries, or similar customer-facing environments
- Ability to conduct a high volume of short, in-person conversations daily
- Strong communication skills in both face-to-face and written interactions
- Ability to clearly articulate a product or service value proposition
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, or similar sales platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills for territory planning and follow-ups
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel regularly within an assigned territory
- Willingness to work flexible hours aligned with restaurant operations, including early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with restaurants, food and beverage businesses, or local merchants
- Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in sales
- Experience working in fast-paced, target-driven sales environments
Physical and Work Requirements:
- Ability to remain on one's feet for extended periods while visiting merchants
- Ability to drive frequently within an assigned territory
- Ability to carry light materials such as flyers, one-pagers, or a tablet during visits
