They enable local businesses to meet consumers’ needs of ease and convenience, and, in turn, generate new ways for people to earn, work, and live. By building the last-mile logistics infrastructure for local commerce, they’re fulfilling their mission to grow and empower local economies.

We are seeking a Field Sales Representative – Restaurant / Retail on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs.

This role is on-site in Montgomery and Mobile, AL, with travel within an 80-mile radius of the base city; overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

In-Person Visits (60%)

  • Conduct on-site visits to prospective restaurant partners within the assigned territory.
  • Initiate conversations and build relationships with restaurant owners and managers.
  • Gather insights on ownership, operations, and existing third-party delivery usage.
  • Identify and document objections or concerns preventing partnership adoption.

Meeting Setup (20%)

  • Engage with restaurant owners to schedule follow-up meetings with Account Executives or sales representatives.
  • Build interest and excitement in partnership opportunities.

Information Gathering & Reporting (10%)

  • Collect detailed business information, including ownership structure, delivery needs, and existing competitor partnerships.
  • Log findings into CRM systems accurately and promptly.

Follow-Up & Administrative (10%)

  • Conduct follow-up calls or emails to confirm appointments and nurture generated leads.
  • Collaborate with the broader sales team to share insights and refine outreach strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in field sales, outside sales, or face-to-face customer engagement, preferably in restaurant, retail, or SMB sectors.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 60% of the time, including within a 60–80 mile radius; overnight stays as needed.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage business owners effectively.
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to work independently, manage schedules, and meet goals.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to log and track details.
  • Comfortable working in a temporary, fast-paced, and high-energy environment.

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.
