Job description
Our Customer is a leading provider of alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles with operations in North America, Europe, and Taiwan. They offer their customers a broad range of replacement systems, components, equipment, and parts to repair and accessorize automobiles, trucks, and recreational and performance vehicles.
We are seeking an Income Tax Senior Manager to help support our Customer's business needs.
This position is responsible for managing income tax compliance, provision, research, audit, and planning processes for domestic and/or international operations and assisting in leading the teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage income tax compliance for domestic and foreign operations, including tax returns and estimated payments
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740
- Maintain balance sheet tax accounts and prepare related financial statement disclosures in accordance with US GAAP
- Manage responses to taxing authorities and support income tax audits
- Oversee SOX compliance activities for the tax team and coordinate responses to internal audit requests
- Monitor tax law developments and assess business impacts, opportunities, and compliance requirements
- Communicate tax law changes and recommendations to management
- Support tax planning initiatives related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions
- Evaluate tax implications of new transactions and ensure post-transaction compliance
- Manage or review post-acquisition tax integration activities, ASC 805 tax entries, and Form 8594 completion
- Advise internal stakeholders on corporate income tax matters
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality within tax operations
- Supervise and develop tax staff, including assigning work, reviewing performance, training, and corrective action management
- Oversee projects, priorities, and operational outcomes within the tax function
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting degree preferred
- Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of income tax experience in public accounting or a large multinational public company
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing staff and projects
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, including ASC 740 and ASC 805
- Strong knowledge of domestic and/or international tax laws and regulations
- Experience with OneSource Income and Provision Tax software preferred
- Experience with tax research tools such as Bloomberg, CCH, or Checkpoint preferred
- Experience with BNA Fixed Asset Software preferred
- Experience with Oracle ERP systems preferred
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts effectively across departments and leadership levels
- Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management abilities
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
- Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

- M-F 40 hours/week
