Job description

Fully Remote
$50-80/hour
~10-15 hours/week
1099 Independent Contractor

About Client:

  • They work with venture, growth and private equity investors to recruit CEOs and VPs to run their portfolio companies
  • Most of the companies they work with are software/SaaS and tech-enabled service companies
About the Role:
They are looking for a research-savvy Analyst-type to help with the "front end" of a search mandate - somebody who can help leverage their time to launch and execute these executive searches as quickly, thoroughly, and efficiently as possible

They are looking for a smart, thoughtful, former management consultant or investment banker who has experience with and understands what it's like being in "the deal business". You must also have an appreciation for the high standard institutional investors have for the executives they hire. Think of this role as "talent mapping" - quickly understanding what the clients want/need and then systematically identifying the right people to approach.

This role has two parts - Research and Networking

  • The first part is doing industry research to map competitors and the relevant universe of companies and identifying the people in those companies that we should target
  • The second part is reaching out to, networking with, vetting, and qualifying the prospective candidates
  • Totally up to somebody whether they like or want to do one or both of those parts (the preference would be for people who can do both)

Benefits:

  • They have a great, easy-to-use, web-based tech stack that people can leverage to do this job well
  • 100% remote, WFH, but need somebody who is smart and credible and loves getting deals done.
  • For the right person they are open to compensating somebody with a percentage of fees collected on each search

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.

If you are a person with a disability needing assistance with the application, or at any point in the hiring process, please contact us at support@themomproject.com.

Screening Questions

  • Have you been a management consultant or investment banker before?
  • Are you comfortable with the initial craziness that erupts when kick off big new projects?
  • Do you "get" the venture capital and private equity industries?
  • Are you a cool person who might like to help build a small, new, fast-growing business?
