Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.

We are seeking a highly motivated Information Security Technical Analyst to support the Vulnerability Management Program. In this contract role, you will support the ongoing triage and case management of newly discovered and reported cloud vulnerabilities.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the Information Security organization—including Security Partners, Security Engineers, cross-functional subject matter experts, and Product Business representatives—to ensure that business teams are well-informed of potential risks and impacts, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding vulnerability remediations.

This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

Vulnerability Triage and Case Management:
  • Manage and maintain the flow of incoming vulnerability cases, including CVE notifications, cloud-based vulnerabilities, cloud misconfigurations, and access control issues.
  • Facilitate proper owner identification for cases where ownership is not automatically assigned by scanning tools.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze business unit remediation efforts and case closure metrics to establish guardrails for remediation quality.
  • Assess and report on case backlog, identifying trends by application, business unit, or other relevant factors.
  • Produce meaningful metrics and reports for customers and leadership, highlighting organizational vulnerability health.
Risk Assessment and Collaboration:
  • Partner across Security teams to identify areas of risk and collaborate with business units to make informed, risk-based decisions.
  • Identify and address “stuck” cases in the lifecycle and work with Vulnerability Program peers to ensure timely resolution.
  • In this role you will be a program interface to case owners and so a strong customer support and collaborative problem solving mindset is needed.
Program Support:
  • Provide data analytics and reporting support during operational and business unit program reviews.

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Information Security degree prefered
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Fundamental knowledge of information security principles, including threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management.
  • Technical problem-solving mindset with strong work ethic, motivation, and results-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management tools and practices.
  • Experience working in a cloud-based environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar are a plus.
