Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


We are seeking an Software Engineer - Python, AWS & SQL on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.


The primary function of this position is to develop software applications supporting medical devices and server-side platforms.



Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing business requirements and designing, programming, unit testing, and documenting to support new software and enhance existing software applications
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting software application issues
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and often fast-paced environment
  • Working with cross-functional teams to drive the projects to completion
  • Assisting in the development of coding and technology standards used in the software industry development of applications
  • Working with the product development team to understand changes to the da Vinci & other products that have potential impact on the server-side software applications
  • Working with management and functional groups to prioritize requests


Qualifications – Please include your GitHub profile or links to any projects you have worked on when applying:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with experience in application development
  • Python, AWS, and SQL experience
