Job description

We produce a festival each October and this year the event will be on October 23, 2023 in Hoboken, NJ.

Our small team is looking for someone to lead the stage program, from conceptualizing best topics to be covered, to researching potential speakers, to outreach and coordination of all speaker requests and session preparation. The ideal candidate is working or has worked in tech and has an existing network in the tech industry. This conference doesn't pay speakers, so the speakers are coordinated through existing relationships, introductions, and persistent outreach.

The ideal hire has programmed stages before for tech and/or business festivals, conferences or tradeshows and is able to own this process for our team. They are someone who loves to produce memorable stage sessions and capitalizes on trends & unique takeaways. This stage is highly editorialized, so a background in PR or marketing to ensure a compelling agenda is critical for success, with this event leaning on nontraditional talks and unique perspectives.

This role requires:

  • Editorial vision and creativity
  • Time management and Organization
  • Executive Communication
  • PR mindset
  • Use of G-Suite, Airtable, AI/Tech for Outreach/Email Generation

The role tasks will include:

  • Organizing internal tracking systems for speaker outreach and confirmations
  • Researching and creating lists for speaker outreach
  • Making all speaker requests, follow-ups, and information calls
  • Communicating with speakers and their teams to obtain relevant assets
  • Creating briefs and talking points for all sessions
  • Prepping all speakers for the event including all pre-event comms and speaker calls

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.
