Job description

This role is eligible for an annual bonus potential - $5,000

As a member of the US Institutional Client Reporting Production team, the Institutional Client Reporting Specialist is responsible for liaising with many teams, including: Investments, Investment Risk, Investment Operations, Front Office Systems support, IT, Institutional Relationship Management, and Client Services. This role is responsible for defining client report requirements, creating new reports, and the timely and accurate production of business as usual reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and verify accuracy of client reporting with very close attention to detail on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis within set deadlines for client deliverables
  • Communicate with Client Services, Client Relationship Management, Marketing, and Investments to secure and verify data for reports
  • This includes incorporating data into reporting templates using proprietary Reporting tools
  • Liaise with Performance, Portfolio Analytics, and Investment Operations teams as necessary to problem solve and meet client reporting requests
  • Work with US IT, US Institutional Sales, and international support teams as needed to create and set up reporting for new clients and respond to requests for report modifications for existing clients
  • Provide adhoc reporting as needed

  • Understanding of reporting and portfolio analytics systems
  • Highly numerate and literate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel/VBA – specifically macros and V-Lookup
  • Strong planning skills, with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines throughout periodic reporting cycles
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and with confidence; should have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization, including Investment staff, operations, and sales teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot technical issues that arise
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities as business needs change
  • Results oriented, self-starter, with a “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team structure

Preferred:

  • Reporting, IT and/or Middle Office experience
  • Programming experience (CSS, Python or SQL) is a plus

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience with business analytics or business intelligence systems
  • Previous experience in the asset management industry (IT, middle office or reporting) or equivalent deadline-driven/high-accuracy environments such as pharmaceutical industry (IT, reporting, documentation, or protocol testing)
