Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


We are seeking an Instructional Designer on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:


Instructional and Visual Design

  • Design and develop end-to-end curriculum and learning programs for supply chain training initiatives
  • Partner with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives and audience training needs
  • Apply human-centered design principles to ensure learner-focused training solutions
  • Create quick reference guides, interactive PDFs, and training documentation
  • Develop eLearning content using authoring tools
  • Produce facilitator guides and scripts for instructor-led and virtual classroom training
  • Edit and standardize presentation materials from facilitators and subject matter experts
  • Design and maintain intranet training sites using basic HTML and graphical interfaces
  • Deliver final training assets including documents and video formats
  • Ensure all designs align with established brand guidelines and visual standards

Technology Utilization

  • Maintain online training content, intranet pages, and document libraries within LMS and internal systems
  • Research, implement, and optimize learning technologies for supply chain and SAP transformation programs
  • Influence the adoption of virtual classroom technologies and training tools
  • Advise team members on best practices for effective use of learning technologies

Program Support

  • Define and track learning metrics to evaluate training effectiveness
  • Co-lead project management and rollout strategies for training initiatives
  • Support virtual classroom sessions in both design and technical facilitation roles
  • Maintain training records and support LMS upgrades and customization
  • Stay current on emerging instructional design and learning technology trends
  • Partner with IT teams to support SAP transformation training across operational groups


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5–10 years of related experience in instructional design, curriculum development, visual communication, learning and development, or related fields
  • Master’s degree in instructional design or curriculum development preferred
  • Proven expertise in instructional and visual design with a portfolio available upon request
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments
  • Experience consulting with subject matter experts to gather requirements and design scalable learning solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a human-centered design mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to operationalize learning concepts for global scalability and measurement
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience with eLearning tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise, and Camtasia
  • Experience with virtual classroom platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Planner, Power BI, Power Automate, and Qualtrics
  • Willingness to travel to company functions and off-site training events (10%)

Preferred:

  • Experience conducting training needs analysis for SAP or iValua-related learning programs
  • Basic HTML, GUI interface, and website editing experience
  • Experience with cloud-based content management systems
  • LMS administration experience
  • Experience supporting software or application implementations
  • Comfort with public speaking for small to medium-sized audiences
