Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our customer is looking for an Instructional Technologist on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage LMS content and supporting technologies to meet learning and stakeholder requirements
  • Perform daily LMS administration, including troubleshooting, course management, program builds, assignments, tracking, reporting, and user support
  • Develop and implement processes to streamline LMS content management and improve operational efficiency
  • Provide learner support through calls, emails, ticket handling, and issue resolution
  • Manage user roles and permissions, including access provisioning and role-based controls
  • Monitor and communicate LMS enhancements, release schedules, and integration opportunities in partnership with digital product stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver LMS training, including virtual and in-person sessions, guides, best practices, and quick reference materials
  • Maintain LMS system documentation and knowledge articles
  • Support creation, maintenance, and reporting of LMS metrics and performance measures
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand current and future system and support needs
  • Collaborate with IT partners on LMS system operations and technical support
  • Support and streamline regulatory and compliance requirements related to learning programs
  • Manage LMS integrations with course authoring tools and internal platforms to ensure a consistent learner experience
  • Support learning content workflows across multiple platforms including situations where content must be assigned, tracked, or reported through another LMS
  • Support automated learner assignments based on defined criteria and rulesets


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience supporting LMS administration within a corporate training or learning organization preferred
  • Experience working with learning management systems, including Docebo and Workday
  • Experience with SCORM standards, including SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise
  • Strong ability to work independently with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support learner-facing and stakeholder-facing needs
  • Ability to analyze issues independently and propose creative, client-focused solutions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-departmental teams
