Job description

Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager

  • Part-Time, 1099 contractor, Long-Term contract
  • Hourly Rate: $50-$65/hr dependent on experience
  • Flexible Days/Hours, Hours will be flexible based on the needs of the business

Must be able to work primarily on-site. Seeking applicants from Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

Established interior design firm located in Evanston, specializing in high-end residential renovation and new construction. We are known for our expertise across a wide variety of styles, from traditional to contemporary, and we work with clients both locally and nationally. We are seeking a talented, versatile Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager who will enthusiastically join our team. You will be working with a sophisticated clientele and navigating the entire design process from start to finish.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Interior Design
  • 7+ years experience at a high-end residential firm
  • Experience with residential furniture, vendors, and workrooms
  • Organized self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Word, and Excel

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Space planning
  • Drawings: plans, elevations, millwork, electrical
  • Specification books for plumbing fixtures, appliances, finishes, millwork, etc.
  • Working with and overseeing vendors, trades and contractors
  • Maintaining detailed notes and documentation
  • Proposals, contracts, purchase orders and invoices
  • Tracking purchases, delivery dates, and scheduling installations

Salary commensurate with experience.
