Job description

The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, located in Kahului, Hawaii! They are looking for an Internal Communication Manager. The Internal Communication Manager will be responsible for crafting, managing, and executing internal communication strategies that align with the company's objectives. This role will involve managing newsletters, facilitating internal communications across departments, organizing townhalls, and ensuring consistent messaging around employee engagement and change management initiatives. The candidate will work closely with the HR department and leadership to ensure effective communication channels and tools are maintained, and that internal messages reflect the company's values and goals.

  1. Newsletter Management: Own the creation, editing, and distribution of internal newsletters to keep employees informed and engaged.
  2. Internal Communication Tool Ownership: Manage communication platforms, including Mailchimp, ensuring they are optimized for internal use and company-wide announcements.
  3. Information Gathering for Company Meetings: Collect and consolidate critical information from various departments to prepare for company-wide meetings or forums.
  4. HR Collaboration: Work with HR teams to strategize and communicate internal initiatives, including employee engagement surveys, and create materials such as talking points and collateral to support these initiatives.
  5. Intranet and Social Media Management: Oversee and update internal communications platforms, including the company intranet and social media channels.
  6. Leadership Collaboration: Collaborate with leaders from different departments to gather insights and promote departmental initiatives, ensuring all staff members are informed and involved in the company’s journey.
  7. Change Management Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies around change management initiatives, focusing on the who, what, when, how, and why.
  8. Embedding Company Values: Ensure that all internal communications reflect and reinforce the company's core values.
  9. Marketing Collateral: Create and distribute marketing collateral related to internal events and initiatives, ensuring brand consistency.
  10. Quarterly Meeting Support: Organize quarterly meeting agendas, prepare presentation slides, and act as the emcee where needed.
  11. Event and Sponsorship Coordination: Manage internal and external sponsorships, including participation in company-sponsored events.
  12. Website and Social Media Management: Maintain and update the company’s external presence, including the company website and LinkedIn page, ensuring it reflects current news and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in communications or a related role.
  3. Strong knowledge of internal communication tools such as Mailchimp, and content management systems for websites and intranets.
  4. Excellent communication, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to collaborate across departments and work with leaders to strategize communication initiatives.
  6. Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  7. Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing tools.
