Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


Our Customer is seeking a highly skilled contract Internal Learning Manager to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% Remote with travel to Atlanta, GA or Sunnyvale, CA

The Professional Education and Program Services (PEPS), Internal Learning Manager, will be responsible for designing a learning strategy to drive a high-performing culture by implementing programs that will attract, develop, and retain a diverse talent pipeline. They will collaborate with leaders across all functions to identify opportunities for growth and create, execute, and lead programs focused on role-based competency and leadership skills. This individual will also ensure PEPS compliance with all training regulations, including addressing associated Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all training records address corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct proactive audits to ensure training materials and records are compliant.
  • Develop role-based training to ensure job compliance with program requirements.
  • Provide clear guidance on compliance-related training and program requirements.
  • Collaborate with LMS administration to build and maintain curricula in the LMS.
  • Support audit requests by providing necessary training documentation and records.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of learning programs to enhance effectiveness and compliance.
  • Create and implement a strategic vision to deepen the talent pipeline, retain top talent, and enhance organizational health metrics.
  • Collaborate with leaders to establish a program roadmap with clear goals and success metrics, and regularly measure the impact.
  • Manage the design and development of all programs, including role-based onboarding, skill development, and leadership training for all employees, including people managers.
  • Continuously improve and deliver role and leadership curriculum designed to develop all employees.
  • Create and scale career pathways, mentoring, and coaching programs for individual contributors.
  • Provide a best-in-class experience for employees through cohesive organizational health programs and career development resources.
  • Maintain alignment with existing organizational programs and ensure cross-functional utilization of learning resources.
  • Enhance the talent pipeline for new hires and increase promotional readiness for current employees.
  • Collaborate with learning management to develop role-based onboarding and continuous learning modules within the corporate learning management system.
  • Perform an annual needs analysis to identify and address skill gaps within the organization.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and make informed decisions.
  • Develop, curate, and deliver engaging and effective training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules that cater to various learning styles, preference, and skill levels.



Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Education, Talent Development, or other related areas are preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development (L&D) or Training Management roles
  • Extensive experience with effective learning and development methods
  • Experience managing employee learning in a highly regulated field, preferably medical devices
  • Proven experience collaborating with regulatory and compliance teams
  • Skilled in project management and budgeting
  • Strong knowledge of e-learning platforms and practices
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees, stakeholders, partners, and vendors
  • Proven track record in creating and managing programs for role-based competencies, leadership development, and soft skills
  • Experience implementing assessment tools and metrics to evaluate training effectiveness
  • Strong collaborative approach, organizational skills, and business-oriented mindset
  • Ability to foster and create strong working relationships
  • Ability to recognize compliant and regulatory-based priorities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team setting
  • Ability to travel


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Updated portfolio
  • Experience working within a global organization.
  • Familiarity with the latest L&D technologies, including virtual reality (VR) training tools, AI-driven learning platforms, and other innovative learning technologies.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing digital and blended learning solutions to enhance the learning experience.
  • Experience in managing learning programs across multiple regions or countries, addressing diverse cultural and regulatory requirements.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), SHRM-CP Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or similar credentials.
