Job description

The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, Investigative firm, in Santa Paula, CA! They are looking for an Investigative Research Asssitant (a remote employee with kids is great!) to join their team. The candidate will support the company by preparing documents like in-depth investigations, OSINT results, and legal correspondence, organizing and maintaining files, and helping prepare final reports and invoicing. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and will need to be able to multitask effectively.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, opposing party, and/or third parties
  2. Maintaining client database and client files
  3. Maintaining complex calendars for our chief investigator including scheduling meetings, conferences, report deadlines, and any other necessary appointments as needed
  4. Calculating and calendaring case related deadlines
  5. Preparing legal documents, memos, emails, and other written correspondence on behalf of the chief investigator
  6. Managing or assisting with substantial components of a broad range of corporate and transactional matters

Qualifications/Skills

  1. Be familiar with OSINT, SOCINT, and all of the "INT's".
  2. Be an excellent, college-level report writer
  3. Certificate of completion from a complimentary certificate program
  4. Proficient in Case management systems, Microsoft Office, GSuite, Outlook, etc.
  5. Strong oral and written communication skills
  6. Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents, and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  7. Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment
  8. 5 office administration experience
